January FedEx Orange Bowl Classic. Early-January

Annual 5K/10K Run Against Drugs. Late-January The 5K race/walk begins at 7:30am and is held on Pro Player Stadium Property. The 10K begins at 7:30 from the Olympia Gym in Aventura and runs along Ives Dairy Road, ending at Pro Player Stadium. Participants will be transported back to the starting area courtesy of Pro Player Stadium. Awards for overall male and female in each category. Early February. Florida's largest collection of the finest home furniture, accessories, decorating, remodeling, interior design, architecture and many home improvement services. Feast With The Beasts. Early-March. Fundraiser, black tie affair featuring a music-filled night amid the wilds of Metrozoo's animal exhibits, with fabulous food and drinks from many of South Florida's finest restaurants and drink suppliers.

A top flight tennis championship with all the top names on the women's tour, from longstanding favorites like Monica Seles and Andre Agassi to new stars like Serena Williams and Marat Safin. It's a well-organized event and a favorite among tennis fans. Ther are excellent facilities at Ericsson Stadium. last year over 235,000 watched the matches!

December World's Largest Indoor Flea Market. Mid-December. Claiming to be the world's largest, this event features over 1,000 booths filled with merchandise at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

King Mango Strut. Late-December. A light-hearted parody of a the Orange Bowl parade down the streets Coconut Grove.

The Nutcracker. Late-December. Performed annually by the Miami City Ballet at the Jackie Gleason Theater and other South Florida venues.
